Europe’s leather sons haven’t succeeded in grabbing any of the top spots at this year’s Interntanional Mr Leather contest in Chicago while a female-to-male transgender man in a wheelchair grabbed the gold.
Among the 52 participants were 7 European candidates: David Schneider – German Mr Leather 2010, Stefan Casper – Mr Fetish NRW 2010, Thorsten Geerken – Bavarian Mr Leather 2010, Henrik Denker – Mr Leather Denmark 2009, Luc Cuypers – Mr Leather Belgium 2010 and Pieter Claeys – Mr Leather Europe 2009. Only Geerken went through to the finals on Sunday night but eventually didn’t succeed in grabbing a top spot.
Participants were judged during multiple rounds including a Pecs & Personality round and an Interview with the IML-jury which consisted of 9 members: International Mr. Leather 2009 Jeffrey Payne (Dallas, USA), Laura Antoniou (Queens, USA), Shawn Carroll (Ottawa, Canada), Demetri Moshoyannis (San Francisco, USA, Chad Neal (Kansas City, USA), Gene Romaine (Seattle, USA), Daniel Ruester (Berlin, Germany), William Schendel (Chicago, USA), and Robert Valin (New York, USA).
Tyler McCormick, Mr. Rio Grande Leather of New Mexico won the International Mr. Leather 2010 title. First runner up was Lance Holman, Mr San Francisco Leather. Jack Andrew Duke, Mr Texas Leather, was second runner up.
