On the 6th of December 2009 publishers C.J. Aerts and De Buitenkant released Billy the Crisco Kid! An Epic for the Eighties by Jacob Lowland (Jim Holmes, 1924-1986). The book contains a preface of the writer, named Canto (with variations) and a biographic article by Gert Hekma about James S Holmes, co-founder of the Amsterdam gay and lesbian studies department, and an article by Reve-biographer Nop Maas about Holmes as the first big love of Gerard Reve.
Only 150 copies of the book are on sale for just 15 euros each at ‘the better bookstore’. If you are into leather and history and are looking for something extra special to put under the Christmas tree…
