espite limited coverage by the general gay press and much scepticism in the Amsterdam leather community itself the rejuvenated Amsterdam Leather Pride event “Get Ruff” turned out to be a success providing a fresh boost for Amsterdam’s leather community.
With the rise in popularity of other European leather cities, financial risks and a declining interest in organizing new activities by local organizations, a competition for new initiatives was written out. The 3rd edition of the Amsterdam Leather Pride took place from Friday the 23th of October until Sunday the 1st of November.
The 2nd edition of the Amsterdam Leather Pride took place from Friday the 24th of October until Sunday the 2nd of November.
From the 25th of October to the 3rd of November the first official Amsterdam Leather Pride was held. Benefits from the event went to the Homo Buddy Project and Countdown on Spanner (a fund attempting to change UK-laws so that voluntarily acts of S&M are not illegal anymore).
